last weekend i took some friends to an auction, to see if they could find some industrial items for their city pads. they came away with some trinkets, and i spent a LOT of money - and the theme of the day seemed to be industrial signs. i have a sign fetish at the moment, the rustier the better...by the time the end of the auction was rolling around, a lot of people had left, and i snatched up this huge sign for $23. it's the town 10 km from ours, and was made the year both my husband and i were born - for the local pound. tell me, why is getting a sheep back only 20c, but a billy goat $10?! this sign i will keep, it will fit over our sofa - now to just find a place for the one that's there already...
this weekend is a long one with the melbourne cup, and we're heading away for a couple of days to Mt. Beauty in the high country. yes, there is a mountain bike race involved, but also catch ups with friends, wine, walks, coffee and NO LAPTOPS! hope everyone has a great weekend...
