the upshot is you can take up to 6 items of clothes (or shoes or accessories) that you no longer adore, swap them for buttons, then at the designated time, hit the racks to find something that takes your fancy. i couldn't be bothered trying things on, but ended up with a lovely Alannah Hill silk skirt, a Cue sweater, a black Cue dress, a silk dress, a lovely scarf and a jacket...
and much to my amazement, when i got home and tried them on, they pretty much all fit perfectly! which is a big anomaly for me, things usually don't fit right even when i try them on with multiple sizes available ;)
what a brilliant idea, recycling clothes, giving them a new lease on life. and what could be better than to participate during 'buy nothing new month'....
