saturday morning treasure hunting

this morning saw me get up at 7:30 on a weekend....sigh. i'm not a morning person. but when the local senior citizens put on a big garage sale, i knew i had to pay it a visit. and it was worth it - i came away with not one, but THREE retro green laminate kitchen tables, a sweet serving tray, and a sign that was apparently attempted to be used as a weapon at a local centrelink...

i nearly scored the best vintage treasure of my life - a colourful old, peeling paint wheel of wonder - the bingo wheel. i asked if it was for sale, and one lady said she thought so - FIVE DOLLARS, but i was quickly brought back to earth when the little old boss lady said NO...this is some of it's glory.

next it was onto a local market, where i found the best stall ever - a mint condition Gilseal infra-red heat lamp in the original box, two vintage leather suitcases, four wooden ammunition crates, a dear old cake tin, a set of four vintage bowls, australian first aid kit, and a big colourful nestle tin.

now i just have to clean off all the dust and cobwebs, and get it out into the world for my lovely buyers! hope you all have a fantastic sunday :)
